Surcon is a business which places trained employees within the construction site for surveillance and consultation services. It was originally designed to inform the owners of all progress in the building site along with protecting there investment. Jobsite theft and vandalism occurs frequently costing the owners wasted time and thousands of dollars. A large percentage of the theft is traced back to employees connected to the job. We have found that our presence on the jobsite detours theft from the outside as well as on the job. Our services are usually required once the marble and air conditioning units/chillers are delivered to the job. At this time the owners decide exactly what hours our presence is required. In most cases we are present an hour before the workers retire for the day until the job manager or inspector returns the following day. Approximately from 3 or 4pm til 7am the next day. As the job progresses and more valuable items like expensive window and door frames, (smart home) electrical boards, communications, porcelain, faucets, lighting fixtures, etc, we are usually asked to enter the project 24/7. During this period we place ourselves amongst the workers throughout the house as well as on the entrance making our presence known. Most importantly controlling unwanted or curious individuals from entering the jobsite. We try to make it clear with the help of the inspector that all sub contractors dispatch the same workers to the job. My daily routine is visiting the different jobsites so that I am visually informed of all new developments and photographing all workers at the job during the last 2 to 3 months of the job. My experience is that this helps to keep a record of the people involved in entering during the final stages. My employees keep an open ear to conversations that might hint to future theft. Each of my men is supplied with an Amigo walkie/talkie and inform me of any and all events occurring at the site. From past experience we find that when the owners of the homes being built are out of the country or unable to be at the job, sub contractors stop working at the site and work at other obligated sites causing delay in progress. Our presence at the job sites allow owners to keep informed as to exactly which crews are working during the week. In the past I have photographed the weekly progress and sent it to the owners via e-mail along with an explanatory letter. I feel it very important to understand the owner’s desires and work accordingly. We are flexible and able to fulfill what ever the owner’s request. . There are several other requirements that our services are able to provide within the jobsite and will be more than happy to discuss this if you’d like to set up a meeting. If you are interested, please inform me a week to 10 days before our service is required. References will be supplied with discretion.
